Kh's will be gone in 5 years! Here's how it will work
by nowwhat? inbesides the media center they are going to build in n.y. it's been noted they are also building one and a studio in australia.
there is no way donations can cover these massive projects.
so the money will have to come from the sale of the remaining halls.

I think that after a period of selling of as many buildings as they can, there will be a pause then new light will tell them to build new kingdom halls. All financed by locals of course. From what I've seen, they make a profit from new constructions as well as aquiring more real estate.
The Watchtower Building and Land Society are a property management company.

A Kingdom Hall which is NOT up for sale! Any ideas what's going on?
by The Fall Guy inthe kilbirnie congregation in scotland was "relocated" in january 2018 - almost 2 years ago - to the nearest kingdom hall a few miles away in irvine.
the reason given by london bethel was that kilbirnie kh was "scheduled for a refurbishment.
" how long does it take to initiate a kh refurbishment, for goodness sake?.

From what I've seen the LDC seems to work like this. A team, including several permanently employed members, moves into a region for around 5 years. They have houses bought or rented for them. Others are brought in as needed and put up by the local congregations. During the 5 years they do renovations and new builds. My guess is that Kilbirnie will be on a schedule somewhere. It's all a big money making venture of course and has taken ages to get going, but as Watchtower seems to have become a property management company you can be sure they will have plans for every Kingdom Hall.

There's an interesting little change hidden there. Item 6 has the meeting attendance being sent with the report. As far as I know, it was only checked by the CO before. Maybe they are trying to identify even more potential congs to merge.

I knew Richard many years ago and he always seemed to be a decent guy. He is a long term Bethelite who went to Gilead a couple of years ago - he presented the class speech at the graduation shown on borg tv. My guess is that he is being groomed for "bigger" things - at least a position on the uk branch committee, maybe a move to Warwick.
Incidently, those very posh houses have had ordinary bethelites - janitors etc - also staying in them. My experience has been that system of bidding for rooms based on number of years full-time service is pretty fair.
None of which changes the fact that they are going to make loads of money from from selling the houses.

Just to clarify what the Global Assistance Arrangement is supposed to be - at one time congregations insured their own Halls and contents. At some point the WTS muscled in on it with the GAA and effectively forced all congregations to use it. Of course, in practice no congregation has ever made a claim as far as I'm aware, they just have to take care of repairs themselves. So in reality this is just another money making scheme.

Do You See "The Elephant In The Room" At This JW Regional Convention?
by JW GoneBad insomeone posted this image on their facebook page of a recent jw rc showing a rather petite group of baptismal candidates.
notice there are nearly 75 seats (5 rows) reserved for the occasion.
by my count...it looks like between 17 to 19 were baptized...with total attendance of 6,000. the youngest among them looks like between 9 and 11 years old.
